My CTMH Story

How Did I Get In This Business?

Prior to joining Close To My Heart I was a scrap booker only. I had never dabbled into card making and stamping because I had only seen the wooden stamps. They seemed like to much trouble and would take up too much space. I had actually never heard of Close To My Heart before I attended my upline’s Jump Start party. We made a cute mini album and I was intrigued. A few weeks later, I attended a crop where another Close To My Heart consultant was offering a card make and take. I created my first card and fell in love with the products. When a half price Consultant special came the next month I jumped at the chance to sign up.
Life happened over the next two years, my husband got out of the Air Force and we moved half way across the country. In a new state, with two toddlers, it was easier for me to just be a hobbiest. I did the occasional gathering, but Close To My Heart’s great program allowed me to still be a part of the company even when I wasn’t able to go full force.
I had been a stay at home mom all this time, with the understanding that I would go back to work when my daughter started school. However, last spring as we were looking at kindergarten options for my older son, we realized that home schooling was the direction that we were being led in. Since this meant that I would not be returning to work full time any time in the near future, I started thinking about ways to earn money at home. I realized I already had the basis of a great home business right in front of me and all I needed to do was start working it. As I continue to build my business, Close To My Heart will allow me to teach my children at home while still building a successful business and earning an income of my own.
